The launch event, held in person with live streaming, brought together leading authors and specialists from across the cultural and creative industries to unveil this new edition of the UNESCO report.

Twenty years after governments and civil society gathered at UNESCO to adopt the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, the report offers timely assessment of how that shared vision is being translated into policy-led action today. Drawing on data from more than 120 countries, it explores emerging trends, persisting challenges and new opportunities shaping those industries at a moment when digital transformation and growing global inequalities are redefining who can create, produce and access culture.

Through evidence-based analysis and policy-oriented recommendations, the launch event highlighted pathways to strengthen inclusive and sustainable governance frameworks and created the conditions for creativity to thrive.
