On October 24, the UNESCO International Centre for Creativity and Sustainable Development under the auspices of UNESCO (ICCSD) successfully hosted the "Creativity 2030" Salon. The event brought together seven experts and scholars from various institutions, including the International Training Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP), the National Public Culture Development Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Research Center for Chinese Culture at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Research Institute of China Digital Culture Group Co., Ltd., the Professional Committee of Cultural Creativity of Tsinghua Alumni Association, and the Zhongguancun Zhongheng Culture Technology Innovation Service Alliance, to jointly explore innovative practices in the integration of culture and technology.

Guest speakers shared their institutions' achievements and practical experience in the integration of culture and technology. They engaged in an in-depth discussion on the proposal for the 2025 Call for Cases on Protection and Promotion of Cultural Diversity in the Digital Environment, a project currently being advanced by the ICCSD. The participants offered constructive suggestions from various perspectives, including expanding submission channels, optimizing evaluation criteria, and promoting international cooperation, providing valuable insights for refining the call for cases.
The salon focused particularly on UNESCO's latest developments in AI-enabled cultural development. Moving forward, the ICCSD will further enhance its capacity for international storytelling and deepen its practices in trend research, capacity building, and international dissemination in the field of culture and technology integration. By expanding its cooperation network and innovating cooperation methods, the Centre aims to support the international development of China's cultural industries and contribute Chinese perspectives and solutions to global efforts to protect cultural diversity.

Creativity 2030 Salon
Organized by ICCSD, Creativity 2030 Salon is one of a series of activities under the center's Creativity 2030 (C2030) brand. So far, 21 events have been held. The center will organize salon activities from time to time, with themes including creativity, sustainability, science and technology, culture. Every time, 1-2 experts, scholars and senior practitioners will be invited to communicate with the public in the form of speeches, dialogue and interactive Q&A.
