Shenyang is an equipment manufacturing base and involves 39 out of 41 major industrial categories in China. New industries including robotics, aerospace, IC equipment, electronic information and bio-medicine have embraced rapid development in the city.

Cui Fenglin said that the National Innovation Center has been settled in Liaoning. According to Wang Jiangping, we need to enhance communication to improve the environment for SME innovation. Asian-Pacific economies have accumulated useful experience in exploring the establishment of a policy system that supports SME innovation. Dialogue needs to be enhanced on policy-making, and a sound mechanism of learning from other's strength to make up the weak points as well as mutual help and communication needs to be established.
