Hall 5 is an exhibition area for laboratories and scientific research instruments presents a comprehensive range of analysis and testing tools, chemical reagents, laboratory machines and general laboratory instruments.

"In 1992, the Higher Education Expo China(HEEC), formerly National Higher Education Equipment Exhibition, debuted in Nanjing. From then on, HEEC has been held for 27 consecutive years. Today, the HEEC 2019(Autumn) opened in Nanjing International Expo Center, which makes Nanjing a new start for it to achieve higher development goals." Du Yubo introduced.
According to Du Yubo, the expo has mounted to a new level this time both in quantity and quality, with over 1000 exhibitors and approximately 50,000 visitors, among whom more than 20,000 are professional.
Du Yubo, President of the China Association of Higher Education and former vice-minister of education, delivers a speech at the opening ceremony. Du says that this year’s expo focused on the celebration of great strides made in higher education during the 70 years since the founding the People’s Republic of China as well as efforts to promote innovation of education modernization. Exhibitions, meetings and forums are organized to showcase these achievements and China’s latest progress in developing modern educational instruments in the new era. The expo has more than 30 high-end forums to cover a broad range of topics, such as a summary of the development of higher education in 70 years, the direction and trend of higher education in the future, and suggestions to modernize higher education and build China into a strong nation of higher education.

The Higher Education Expo China 2019 (Autumn) opens at the Nanjing International Expo Centre on November 1.
For a start, let’s have a brief introduction of the expo center. Located at the central area of Jianye District in Nanjing, NIEC served as competition venues in 2013 Asian Youth Games and 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. It covers a planning area of 54 hectares and a construction area of 360,000 square meters (36 hectares). Composed of three sectors, namely exhibition hall, conference center and hotel, NIEC boasts a large modern venue that integrates exhibition, conference, accommodation, catering, entertainment, and competition. The exhibition sector has eight halls with big pillar-free single story structure, as well as one over-road displaying area. The indoor exhibition area of NIEC covers altogether 110,000 square meters, with an average area of 12,000 for each hall. And the outdoor exhibition area has 30,000 square meters. The two-story underground parking garages have a capacity of 3400 cars, including 40 special spots for buses.
The Higher Education Expo China 2019 (Autumn) is to kick off at the Nanjing International Expo Centre(NIEC) from November 1 to 3. The expo acts as an important bridge for collaborative innovation and common development among three sides - government, university and enterprise. With an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, the expo has drawn nearly 1000 leading enterprises in the field of higher education and about 50,000 visitors from all over the country. Another 40 forums, such as Higher Engineering Education Summit, will also be held during the three-day expo.
