The third UNESCO Creative Cities Beijing Summit, which is titled "Creativity empowers cities, technology creates the future", officially opened on Thursday.Jointly organized by UNESCO, the Ministry of Education, the Beijing government and UNESCO's Chinese National Commission, the two-day event offers a platform for members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network from around the world to exchange their experiences and expertise, as well as collectively reflect on how best to strengthen sustainability in urban development.
